Here we go again, with another track I thought I was going to try to play guitar to, then lost patience and made it a synth track. I had the drums and the sinking bass going and thought I'd try a heavier number on the guitar, but... couldn't get it to sound right, so I dropped my axe and threw synthesizers at it - I need to be better at guitar before I set these lofty goals. Here's Imp Rest.

I know how you feel about needing to be better at the guitar - but you complimented mine on my track so I thought I'd offer a bit of friendly advice. You may be surprised to know I don't have a DI or a mic - I record my guitar by the laptop mic - the magic comes from the processing. I am not a great player - so I loop around until I nail it. A good technique is to process the guitar as you would a synth until you get it where you want it in the mix.
