Quicksilver Spoons

By CosmicCairns on June 21, 2016 11:53 pm

I built this song around the lead guitar line, which is a melodic idea I've been sitting on for a little while now.  It seemed like time to finally get around to doing something with it.

Nice fast waltz, great vocal harmonies; everything to like here!

that's a lovely melody, glad you did something with it. Very nice track, great singing and I liked the lyrics too, the ones I made out on first listen. I want to go back and pick up the rest.

You really know how to build up wonderful songs with catchy melodies and cool guitarsolos. This is a top hit.

This reminds me of Ween in a very very very positive way!  Well done my friend!

Thank you.  I was pretty happy with how those vocal harmonies turned out.

Thank you kindly.  The lyrics are a little bit abstract as I was writing them quickly, but I kind of like abstract lyrics sometimes.

Thank you very much.  I kind of just hummed that melody into my phone one day a few months ago and I discovered it again recently.  I knew I liked it enough to do something with it and I think this has ended up being one of my personal favorites of the year so far...

I'm always happy to get a Ween comparison.  They're super great.  Thanks!

Thanks so much.  I think there's just a lot of great stuff posted on here every week and it's hard to listen to all of it.
