i did not break my right hand.

...but i was close. i closed a window on my fingers and screamed like a total maniac for like 20 minutes. after a visit to the "urgent care facility", i know have a stylin' bandage around my right hand.

so there is no lute this week!

but honestly it is great that its not broken. should be over in a couple of weeks. in the meantime, here is some synth vocally stuff. i dig these fifth/oriental scale things. hope you are healthy out there!

Groovy as F###. Love how the rhythm breaks up and makes way for the vocals again

I agree -- definitely as groovy as F triple-sharp! Your command of non-western scales is impressive.

Get better soon, mate!

Glad to see that your music skills are still intact and top notch. As everyone said: groovy as f***!

Really good singing, by the way smile

Are you creating your beats in an Elektron Octatrack or something like that? Cool synth progressions

Nice!!!

Really like this one!

Bah, F triple sharp is just A flat.  I see right through the sham.

Whatever key, this is great.  The vocal harmonies are hypnotic.

Oh the harmonic possibilities for re-interpretation! Thank you guys!

Wait aren't you on vacation? Where you at sir? Thanks for checking in! I don't have any Elektron hardware (I wish though) - this is Ableton with Monark, controlled by my computer keyboard. Are you an Elektron guy? I was lusting over the Rytm the other day... do you octatrack? Is that preferable?

Hi Mate... I'm on my hometown Madrid right now but I'll be enjoying Berlin in a couple of days, finally. Now off duty and enjoying spending 3 hours fixing a MIDI ruoute without watching the clock smile

My object of desire is the Octatrack and the Machinedrum UWX but no, I don't own one. Seems like a lot of us Ableton guys make a smooth transition to the Elektron paradigm. And Rytm seems like an augmented Octatrack but... this guys have accomplished something other brands only wish for: no model completely replaces the other one (nor intends to), so it's like Pokemon... You have to have them all!

The gear (porn?) lover living inside of my is deciding between a Doepfer Dark Energy, a Pittsburg Modular System 10 or an Octatrack... but I guess I'll just grab the Waldorf Streichfett for 200 euros and enjoy some strings smile

Machines are wonderful, but somehow I could not throw that amount of money without hesitation. Good thing is that I always end trying to do similar things with my actual setup... I'm now jamming with a couple of 1st generation Korg Electribes and the free Nord Beat MIDI sequencer on iOS and getting pretty funny results. Hope to post a video soon.

Guess you can blame it all on matrixsynth.com smile

Hey Phillipe,
thanks, sounds like the song hit you just in time :-) I will probably sing a bit more in the future because we finally moved and I have a room I can use as a studio... Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm just listening to your tracks and am pretty floored by their phatness. I feel like I missed you so far! Thanks for swinging by! BTW I can totally send/share the vocal track if you want it... highest compliment and all...

Big compliments for achieving such a lovely piece and most of all in this scale. Your voice seems to be very comfortable in it. Nice arps, especially the tuning up sounds great.

If you are willing to have your piece twisted into fragments, morphed, re twisted and metamorphosed into an exploration of sound design and organic mechanical splendour then by all means bounce down all the tracks - upload them to dropbox or whatever is convenient for you and send me the link or the zipped files to my email - I'll message it to ya...

This was the Apogee One. I often have to plug and unplug it multiple times because it has a loose connector, but usually it sounds good once it's in! Thank you for listening!

digging that 5ths synth especially as it modulates into insanity smile  Keep hands and feet inside at all times!
