Covering the Dead

By Chris Dotson on December 7, 2014 5:04 pm

The sound sources for this track were my guitar and patchblocks. I sent everything through a varying but hefty amount of granular processing on the iPad with a little reverb/filtering and other Ableton tricks.

This week's track got a little away from me by the end, but I think it all worked out. Although true of all my tracks, I particularly like this one with the volume turned way the hell up.

Calming at times, a bit overwhelming at others.

Heh, I have no idea if that was intended as a compliment but it's exactly what I typically try for. :-)

Like my avatar, a bit of both. If this what you were aiming for, you hit the mark.

I really like the sense of chaos underneath the calm in this one, well done!
