Triskaidekaphobia

I thought I would try something different this week and kill two birds with one stone.  I recorded a track in Reason using the Monthly Acid Pattern for May 2016 (https://soundcloud.com/groups/monthly-acid-pattern-2).  I recorded this track on Friday the 13th, so the name seemed appropriate.

I used two ABL3 instruments for the two different patterns given with this month’s pattern. On the first ABL3, I added a Softube Saturation Knob as an effect. On the 2nd ABL3, I used a Pulveriser and a LeSpace as effects. For percussion, I used a Re-Drum, being controlled by several Euclids to control the drum sounds. I also used a BZR-1 and Two Pulsars to effect parameters on the Euclids.

A fourth and final element was provided by a Malcos Vocal Combinator into a Blamsoft ReSampler into a Peff Directre, to Mute track while recording parameters live. A Euclid, BZR-1 and Randrome controlling gate, CV and other parameters.

For the Master FX, I used two Audiomatics, a MClass Equalizer, a MClass Compressor, a MClass Stereo Imager and finally into an Ozone.

I recorded the automations live using a LaunchControl. I normalized and created the MP3 using Audacity.

Tight groove, nice modulations, hypnotic and compelling.

Nice minimalistic and hypnotic tech-track
I like it!
