Omega and Alpha

Since the Monthly Acid Pattern Group has re-formed over on Hearthis.at, I’ve decided to use September’s pattern for this week’s track.

For the main 303 line, I used an ABL3 into a Polar, then a Rotor and finally an Audiomatic. The 2nd “Acid” line was formed with a pattern Combinator into a Low Pass Filter Combinator.

I then used an AutoTheory Setup to generate chordal and melodic content. This consisted of an AutoTheory with CV Generated by three Matrixes and combined into a CV Merger.  A bassline was generated by a Solaris with CV generated by the AutoTheory Setup. An Ensemble Pad was created with a Parsec combinator with CV generated by the AutoTheory Setup.

The drums consisted of a Redrum, with the pattern being generated by two PDT2s.

I mixed and arranged the track live.  After exporting from Reason, I mastered in Audacity.

I should find out about this "monthy acid" thing. You managed to get pure acid with all the nuances of the 303

Unfortunately, it looks like December 2016 will be the last iteration of the current group.  I'd love to see it continue elsewhere, but no one has come forward to take up the groups moderation.
