For October’s Monthly Acid Pattern, I took inspiration from the recent Techno Design Video by Point Blank Music School (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXwA-BRoYQs).
So, I decided to sample my Volca Bass, Volca Sample and Volca FM into Reason. The Volca Beats were sampled into Redrum, which was run into a Decimort and the CV generated by two Euclids. The Volca FM and Sample were recorded into a Kong, which was run into a Beat Crush; the Euclid’s from the Redrum were CV Split into the Korg. A pulsing bass element came from sampling a Volca Bass into a NN-XT, which was then run into a Formant Combinator with CV generated by a Matrix.
I then added an ABL3 to program the October MAP pattern. I also added a couple of Atmospheric Combinators with CV generated by a PCV, a CV Splitter, a Randrome and a Pulsar.
The Mixer’s Insert FX consisted of an Audiomatic and a RV7000 Mk2. After mixing and arranging the track live, I EQd the track with the Reason Mixer.
The Master FX consisted of an Audiomatic into a MClass EQ, a MClass Compressor, an Ozone and finally a MClass Stereo Imager.
