in two days i'm about to take a month-long trip to europe.  it's actually quite a significant milestone in my personal growth; i've lived a pretty sheltered life growing up and it's taken a period of several years and smaller trips for me to get to this point.  so i wanted to write something simple to capture a small morsel of what i'm feeling about the adventure ahead.

first thing that came to mind was this stream-of-consciousness piano riff with a loose meter, and i wanted to deliberately stay away from a typical time signature.  this tune also originally had drums at a certain point but at the last minute i took them out because i felt that it ultimately detracted from the tune's simplicity.

VSTs used: edirol orchestral, synth-1, pianoteq

Intricately rolling, like an ouroboros. Have fun on your trip; I did something similar and it changed the direction of my life.

This is nice. If you had told me it was a real piano I would have believed you.
