a trail of dead stars in its wake

basically inspired by the new COSMOS, what else is there to say?

beautiful soundtrack by the way, especially for a TV-aired documentary series - it's as if Alan Silvestri scored a straight-up sequel to his soundtrack for Contact.

going for an incidental film score kinda deal, so, not much here except some sparing composition and pad-like strings.  mainly trying to expand on my reaper skillset by juggling more VSTs and doing more complex sends to keep the composition organized.  getting a handle on graphic parameter automation as well.  overall i'm trying to get more comfortable with composing outside of the confines of a tracker grid - definitely appreciate that i can shift things around in a much more liquid fashion.

i wish this could be longer - the original idea was to expand on this with some complex electronic rhythm stuff, but i've been feeling pretty tired this whole weekend and i need a nap before getting to some more weekend work and preparing for square sounds melbourne.

VSTs used: edirol orchestral, crystal, pro-53, pianoteq

This would indeed make for a lush logo or 'sound mark' intro to a show! The swells are very smooth and epic smile

dude it's very looooooong)

very appropriate! i could see this fitting in with the show
