Dark Vacuum

By Ashtom on May 20, 2012 11:32 pm

I could have called this track Black Hole but Dark Vacuum felt more mysterious. This is totally empty of any harmony a.k.a pure sonic soundscape which hopefully convey a strong ambiance. I like the phasing of the bass part along the track and the deep echoed kick is chest-pounding. I recommend a listen on headphones to enjoy some stereo tricks.
As usual, any feedback even the shortest one about how you felt about it or what it may remind you is highly appreciated!
NB: I'm flying over to New-York to attend to the Blip Festival (I signed up for the open mic but I don't even know if I'm ready for that... anyway) and am interested to meet any WeeklyBeaters out there! Hope to see you!

I am not big on chip-ish stuff, but this is pretty cool. It reminds me of how the soundtracks to Castlevania could have sounded. If this is the quality of stuff you're doing, I'm sure you're well and truly ready for the open mic aspect of Blip.

That Castlevania reminiscence of yours means a lot to me! Thanks for the motivating words!
