Aurora, Our Dreams

Monday, June 6. 20:30 - 21:17. Another week, another project. Let’s try to stay with something more familiar this week because I won’t have a lot of time for music this week.

Chord progression: E C G Dm (vi VI I V)

Tuesday, June 7, 21:15 - 22:45. Last day, I got some chords and some intitial groundwork started, so now it’s time to do melody/musical development.

Notes: Okay, today sucked, I wanted to try to make an awesome growly bass sound but I had hardware problems (due to a bad software setup that sucked up all of my music time and really sapped my motivation). I ended up not using the Evolver and going to Massive instead to create a thicker polylead, then going to Nord Lead to create a fat bass sound.

Wednesday, June 8, 20:15 - 22:00. This is one of the more structurally-simple songs I’ve done in a while. More of an EDM style 2000s-era anthem track I guess.

Thursday, June 9, 19:30 - 20:45.

Sunday, June 12, 11:40 - 12:25. Finishing touches and stuff. I think I kind of lazied out on this song this week a little, since the structure is immensely simple, but I did enjoy putting some more emphasis on various production elements.

Total time: 6 hours 2 minutes or so.

Nice catchy tune!  Sometimes simple structures are the best.

Simple but beautiful!
