This is a cover of a Ricky Brugal song called "Lip Sync." The cover was completed with his permission.
It will be featured on the upcoming Ricky Brugal tribute album, but we thought it would be cool to upload it early here as a special WeeklyBeats VIP LEAK. 8)
Ricky Brugal's style is heavy, challenging, and sometimes chaotic but he seems to tell a story with each release and I LOVE that. It was really fun to try and interpret "Lip Sync" into something new while keeping elements of the original thrown in. A few other artists have covered his work in the past to great effect and the inspiration that comes out of his work really shines in that effect like a Bob Dylan of chiptune or something, lol.
