Fountain Hill

By an0va on January 19, 2014 2:25 pm

Screwed around a lot this week and now I'm putting this together in a couple hours to complete this week. >_< Oh well, working mainly on the groove and the mix. I'm a huge fan of Akira Yamaoka's work with Silent Hill 2. I never finished any of the other games other than 2, because none of them felt the same for me. There was something special about 2. Just like with Mother 2. Idk. Anyway here's an interlude-style beat slightly in the style of Yamaoka.

Fountain Hill is the borough where my parents live and when it gets foggy, combined with the old buildings, it really has a similar feel. yikes

killed it, dude.

Dude...I love this!

Oh man this is amazing! It really feels like a theme straight from Silent Hill!

Agree, Silent Hill 2 is the best by far. Dig the vibe.

Dangit, an0va. Always quality.

dude, this hip hop stuff you've been posting is pretty tight, you should do more.

Shit, dd - I heart you.  Fantastic.

So smooth. That guitar tone is perfect and this is impeccably put together. As always, stellar.

This is a brilliant track, can't wait to hear more of your hip hop tracks

reallllllllllly loving the creepy and silent hilly vibe to this. stunning track!

definitely a sick groove here, and I dig the track, but I think maybe a few change-ups/fills/something just to keep listener interest during the middle?  idk what I'm saying

also that guitar tone is so perfect

Beautiful amazing wonderful. SH2 is without a doubt my favorite game as well. Powerful.

oh hay, want another comment to add to your gigantic mountain of comments?  anyway this one's got a nice groove, i don't care if you think you're phoning it in or whatever, even if you did 49 weeks of this it would not be a wasted life.

fuch yeah dude. fuch ya

Thank you so much guys! Can't wait to go through all your tracks too if I haven't already.

@VBO - Yeah man thank you! Maybe next time I won't wait till last minute again so I can get a lil more variations, haha

Damn, I really like the variety of styles you're able to produce. Very chill ambient-ish track. Definitely not sounds like this has been made in a couple of hours. Kudos.

Amazing work for a week's work. Nice guitar track particularly.

Oh shit! So good man! Such great tracking and writing

Yeah, this is really, really awesome. One of my favourite for the year. Great work.

Like xyce said, very impressed with you tackling different styles and absolutely nailing it! Amazing job!

Soooooo nice! I could get lost in this

Lovely, without a doubt!

awesome

Nice one!!!

I really like that drum filler bit after the snare, you seem to have it in every track! But this is really well made as usual, nice little static touch at the beginning (is that what vinyl sounds like?). Flows really well, that subtle background synth is nice... Well done an0va!

Deep tones on the beats and bass and the guitar compliments it very well.  Nice work.

nice drumz

Damn, this is chill

Great work love that beat

sultry! and of course akira yamaoka is awesome.

oh man this got a great flow/feel... really dig it... it's the portishead of silent hill

Oh man, we used to play this Silent Hill 2 marathon back in... I guess 2002 or something? ... Completed the game in one go. Scary as well, especially when you had to go to the bathroom... big_smile LOVE THIS DANIEL!

Love the subtle keys and vibes, guitar melodies are so tasteful!

You had me from the beginning bass hit. -.-  So good.

Oh man.  Yes.  Chunky and well put together mate.  Very aweseome
