Droll

Another beat going with my iMaschine/chill beats phase; written while commuting via train as always. The original loop I did just had the drums and steady monotone sound, but I didn't think it would be as approachable so I added some more variety into the background with various beatmaker 2 instruments. Quite pleased with this aside from some of the transitions but it's all good. Relax, close your eyes, enjoy!

Really nice, intresting but not intrusive. It's the kind of music I like for working...

Is your final mix in iMaschine or beatmaker?
I also make my Music while commuting and find it always a bit puzzling to bring the different apps to the final mix.

Greetings,
Gunnar

thanks! the final mix here is in beatmaker and it's definitely a bit of a clunky process. i get my loops made in imaschine the way i want them (balance and all) and then just record that whole thing onto a beatmaker track. from there i add to it with beatmaker instruments and if i need to go re-tweak the imaschine part i re-record that whole section. i like mixing in something like logic a whole lot more but it's too much work to get the other apps instruments on to individual tracks so i've just been using the beatmaker exports.

Thanks for the detailed explanation.
So you also use record in beatmaker, would be so nice if you can just copy/paste to a beatmaker audiotrack...

Yeah it drives me nuts that you can't copy/paste or even move an audio track to another one of the same type. So i typically have 1 or 2 tracks that are hooked up via the inter-app connection to iMaschine (or whatever other app it may be) and record those parts that way. I tried to do this flow straight into Logic thinking it would be less cumbersome but it actually became harder to sink up the measures so that's one nice thing beatmaker does. what you pointed out is one of my biggest annoyances though.
