Outside My Bedroom Window

By Abludo on February 28, 2016 11:21 pm

The back for this track was going to be the night-time atmosphere at 2 am just outside my bedroom (which is on the ground floor) - and it is, but it was so quiet that all I got was noise with a very quiet owl and a couple of confused pigeons. Nevertheless I kept it that way. All of this music is 100% sampled from my bedroom - tapping bottles and things, scraping my radiator, playing random notes on my guitar at 2 in the morning, and my clock. I used my bottle collection to blow notes for the bass and chords beside guitar, and recorded my bedroom window opening and closing, using this as the beginning, the end and throughout. Made with LMMS

You did an amazing job both as sound designer and from a musical standpoint... And you got me looking for my iPhone several times until I realized the Whatsapp notification came from the recording.

It's both a really well crafted song and a surprising exercise, hearing you drift away from d'n'b for a while.

Downloaded and faved, of course. This will be on replay for a long time
